Note From Meet Director: GENERAL INFORMATION
1. 1/4" spikes or smaller must be used (preferably pyramid).
2. After completion of each field event, all implements must be removed from the field.
3. Starting heights for the high jump will be 4'00" for girls and 4'10" for boys.
4. There will be three trials in the shot put, discus, javelin, and long jump. The top nine competitors will then be given an additional three attempts.
5. The 4x400m relay will use a three-turn stagger. The second runner may cut to the pole at the break line at the start of the back stretch. The medley relay will use a two-turn stagger.
6. Individuals are limited to the following: Boys and girls may enter a maximum of four events per competition. There is no restriction as to the combination of running and field events. Any number of these may be relays.
7. There will be an equipment weigh-in at 1:15 conducted by the Head Field Judge at the south end of the east straightaway. No implement may be thrown unless it is weighed in at the South End Meet. All equipment not meeting the standards will be kept at the weighing table.
8. Davis High will provide the following physical facilities and equipment: starting blocks, hurdles, standards, and cross bars.
9. Schools are requested to dress at their own facilities before coming to Davis High. No locker rooms will be available.
10. Contestants, coaches, and officials must enter through the South gate. Spectators will enter the Southwest gate. Admission cost is $3.00 for adults, and $2.00 for students.
11. Coaches and athletes in uniform will be admitted free.
12. The track is seven lanes and is a rubberized asphalt composition. The high jump approach and long jump runway are rubberized asphalt. The shot put and discus will be thrown from concrete circles and use collegiate sectors (40 degrees).
