The 2010 Gadsden Classic Track Invitational will take place March 6, 2010 in Anthony, NM at Gadsden High School. The meet will feature 38 teams from Texas and New Mexico. The meet is a NMAA Qualifier.
Each team is allowed three entries in the individual events and one relay entry per team.
The 800 M Relay will be run in lanes for the first two legs. The third leg will be able to cut in as soon as the exchange is made. It is the responsibility of the third runner to cut and not interfere with any other runners.
The 1600 Medley Relay will be run with 200, 200, 400, 800 legs.. in that order.
The Scratch Meeting will take place in the West Wing of the Cafeteria at 8:00 AM. It is a scratch meeting only. NO CHANGES or ADDS will be allowed without the permission of the meet director.
Please have all busses and school vehicles enter the high school through the most north entrance of the school. Parents should park in the student and staff lot. There is also a softball and baseball tournament going on at the same time... this will be a busy place.
There is major construction on Interstate 10 from Las Cruces to the Texas State line. Please allow for extra travel time as the traffic is one lane in each direction on Interstate 10.
Each athlete will have their first attempt measured in the throws and long/triple jump. After that they will have to meet the minimum distance to be measured.
Deadline for entries is March 3, 2010 at 7:00 PM.
