    Note From Race Director:
    These are currently glorified training runs that may eventually become fancy races (road traffic controlled, t-shirts, and all the things that make events cost more), but for now, these fun runs are great for those who just want a workout because it is so affordable ($5 max) and low-key (self-timed), yet it is also great for those who enjoy a competitive element because Get Fit gives out gift certificates to the top finishers of each event based on age and gender. The gift cards for the half-marathon, 10K, and 5K are $20, $15, and $10, respectively. All runners get sports drinks, gu, and refreshments! You are responsible to time yourself if you want to have your time listed in the results and to be eligible for the placement prizes, so you need to wear a stop watch and write your name and time down once you get to the store or if you forget a watch, ask an employee of Get Fit what time it is and write down the time so we will have an approximate finish time. We will not be blocking off intersections, but will mark the turns with cones. We will have maps for you to carry with you during the run. We will try to have a goody bag for each runner.

    F 18-39: 14 mins
    M 40-49: 7 mins
    F 40-49: 21 mins
    M 50+: 17 mins
    F 50+: 27 mins


    10K Subtractions:

    M 18-39: 0 mins
    F 18-39: 6 mins
    M 40-49: 3 mins
    F 40-49: 10 mins
    M 50+: 8 mins
    F 50+: 13 mins


    5K Subtractions:

    M 18-39: 0 mins F 18-39: 3 mins M 40-49: 2 mins F 40-49: 5 mins M 50+: 4 mins F 50+: 6 mins

    URC assumes no responsibility for accidents or problems caused by your getting lost or getting hurt, so you need to look at the map in advanced and bring one along on the run with you (we will hand them out to you), look both ways at intersections and watch out for vehicle traffic. You need to obey all traffic laws.

    Please pre-register ($1.50 + $1.50 transaction fee = $3) on RunnerCard.com, unless you are a member of Get Fit Running Club (free to join), a contributing/paid member of URC (including volunteering with the event), or have attended a Mon-Fri URC practice in the last 2 months, in which case you may run for FREE if you e-mail me the registration form from the races page by copying and pasting the registration form in an e-mail, found at www.UtahRunningClub.com/Registration-Form. You may also mail it if it arrives by Friday. Everyone needs to pay an extra $1, even if you have a free entry, if you register day-of (unless you have volunteered in the last 3 months or are a member of Get Fit). You need to arrive at 7:45 am if you want to register day-of. We would appreciate a donation of $1 from members of Get Fit Running Club who got a free entry and did not volunteer, to help us cover our costs (printing maps, buying cones??we are a little short on cones and need more to mark the course better, etc.), and to help us to continue to offer these events.

    TRANSPORTATION TO AND FROM THE EVENT: For those who want to ??go green? or don??t have a ride to the events, you can take the UTA bus for only $1-2 to the nearest stop, and someone can give you a ride the rest of the way. You will get a free entry to the event if you give people a ride with you, whether from our carpool locations or just on your own. If you are driving from anywhere near or through the carpool areas, or would be willing to drive out of your way to pick people up, please call Mary Ann at 801-473-3969. Please bring $1+ for your driver for gas, wear and tear, and their time.

    FROM PROVO/OREM/AMERICAN FORK: The only UTA route leaving early enough is the 811. The one you will want to take leaves various points starting as far south as 21 E 200 S in Provo at 7:03 am and has other stops along University Ave, University Pkwy through Orem, then gets on I-15.
