    State Qualifying Track and Field Invitational 1A-2A-3A
    April 16-17 2008 at Juab High School High School

    Entry Fee: $5.00 per athlete ($60.00 maximum per team or $120.00 boys/girls maximum). $2.00 per spectator. Coaches Passes will be accepted. Entries will be through Runnercard.com entries limited to the first 10 schools entered. Please reply to this Email if you plan to attend.

    Awards: Eight Places will be scored. Medals will be given to the top four Finishers in individual events and 1st Place in each Relay. Team Trophies will be given to the Meet Champions and Runners-up.

    Surface: An all weather extremely fast surface. Please note the only 1/4" (or shorter) pyramid spikes can be used. No Christmas Trees, Pins or Needles will be allowed on competition surfaces (spikes will be checked and monitored by meet officials at each venue). Shot Put and Discus rings are concrete. Javelin runway and high jump area is All weather ?D? end surface at the south end of the Track. Pole Vault is located at the North end of the Track, Long jump and Discus are on the east side of track near the visitors bleachers. Discus will be at the northeast end of the track.

    General Meet Information
    1. All throwing implements will be weighed and certified according to the National Federation Rules Make sure your athletes are using the IAAF javelins. And other throwing implements meet the standards. For Qualified throws Implements will be rechecked following competition.
    2. A Finish Lynx Timing system will be used. 110H,100H, 100M,200M will have prelims and finals. 300H and 400M will be timed finals only, Please provide accurate times for seeding purposes.
    3. Individual entries are limited to four events per athlete.
    4. Schools should dress before arriving at the meet.
    5. Throwers and Jumpers will be allowed three attempts (top nine to finals for an additional three attempts).
    6. Minimum marks measured will be set as follows:
    Girls Boys
    Discus 65' 90'
    Javelin 70' 110'
    Shot Put 20' 30'
    Long Jump 12' 16'

    7. The crossbars for the High Jump and the Pole Vault will be raised as follows: Girls HJ - 4'04", 4'06", 4?08?, 4?9?, one inch thereafter.
    Boys HJ - 5' 06", 5?08?, 5' 10", 6' 00", 6?02?, 6' 04" one inch hereafter
    Pole Vault - 8' 00", 8' 06", 9' 00", 9' 06", 10' 00", 10' 06", 11' 00", additional lifts @ the discretion of remaining Athletes

    8. A concession stand will be operating through out the meet and the coaches will be provided with a hospitality meal.

    (Athletes can only participate in 4 events. Teams may enter up to 4 athletes per event). **All entries must be received by 12:00 Thursday night April 15th**
    **Any day of the meet changes will be scratches only**

    We will seed individuals according to times, so be accurate in entering the information. Lanes with scratches will be left empty. We are using the Finishlynx timing system for the meet.
    Athletes will report at the starting line (there will be no official Bull Pen). Teams will be provided with heat and lane assignments in the coaches? packet. These assignments will also be posted. Along with the results from each heat and the finalists.
