Race #5 in the South Jordan Race Series is the challenging Half Marathon. Our half marathon is a scenic hill course with a little bit of everything. Start and finish at The District Shopping Center. Finisher medallions and tech shirts for all runners, plus awards for 1st-3rd in each age group, all runners will be eligible to enter our raffle for prizes from our race sponsors.
South Jordan Half Marathon Race will start at The District (11610 S. District Dr.) at 6:00 AM on Saturday July 7th. Packet picket will be available at the South Jordan Fitness & Aquatic Center Friday July 6 6-8 PM. Packet pickup will also be available at the start line 1 hours before the race.
Race Series information:
All participants will receive a wickify race series technical shirt, pre-race goodies, and a race series bag with goodies from our sponsors. Top 3 individuals in each division will receive a medal. Overall 1st place male and female runners will receive awards. Middle of the pack winner will win a new pair of shoes. Middle of the pack winner is an opportunity for all runners to win a great prize. Middle of the pack winner will be decided by splitting the number of male and female runners and taking the top person from the lower half of finishers.
There will also be a male and female winner for the entire 2012race series. Award will be given away after the last event. Points will be awarded as followed:
1st place- 150 points
2nd place- 125 points
3rd place 100 points
4th-10th place- 50 points
Participation in race finishing out of top ten- 10 points
Online registration will close at 5:00 pm MDT on Thursday, July 5th.
There will be NO Day-of-Race Registration.
Packet pick-up will begin at 5:45 am race morning.
