Note From Meet Director: The District 3AAAAA Track Meet will be hosted at Gadsden High School on FRIDAY MAY 4.The schedule will be posted is posted on the web site. There is a change to the schedule. The polevault will begin at 1:00 and the remainder of the meet will be run as scheduled. There may be a delay in the start of the triple jump depending on when the polevauly is complete.
*This is a one day event, all finals and no preliminaries for running events.
*There will be a coaches scratch meeting held at 6:00 on Thursday March 3 at Gadsden High School Intervention room. All entries will be closed after the coaches meeting and the meeting will be heated and seeded.The District Athletic Coordinators have chose to make the meeting MANDATORY.
*Each school is allowed four (4) entries per event except in the relays were each school is allowed one entry per relay per gender.
*Heats and lane assignments will be the same as used in the state track meet.
* NO COACHES WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE INFIELD AS PER THE DISTRICT HANDBOOK.A coach may be on the field for an injury of an athlete on their team. Any appeals or conversations with the Meet referee will take place by the concession stand in the grass area.
* Coaches may be allowed in the field event venues in the designated areas.
* One head coach and the Meet Director (John Daniel) will be on the games committee. The games committee will meet by the concession stand
in the grass area if needed.
* The champion in each event will be declared all district and will recieve an award.
* All rules and regulations of the NMAA handbook and the NFHS will be observed.
* Scoring at the district meet will be the same as the state meet scoring.
* Their will be a $5.00 admission for all adults and students unless they have a District 3AAAAA pass. Individual school athletic passes will not be accepted.
*All throwing events and vertical jumping events will get 3 throws or jumps in the prliminaries. Top seven will go to the finals for 3 more attempts in order for the throwing events. The long jump and triple jump will be open pit for one hour in the preliminaries and then 30 minutes for the finals.
