The Liberty 5K is agreat way for locals and visitors alike to kick off the Richfield City 4th of July festivities. This is a great 5K loop course with the last mile being gradually downhill. Prior to the start of the 5K there will be a Kids 1-Mile run for ages 12 and under.
Both races begin and end at the City Park, which is the central hub for all of the 4th of July festivities. The races will be timed using the RunnerCard timing system, and every participant will receive a printout of their race details. All runners will also receive a t-shirt, participation award, and post-race refreshments. The Kids 1-Mile shirts will be normal t-shirts and the 5K shirts will be tech running shirts.
There will be age divisions for both the 5K and the Kids 1-Mile run. For both races, cash awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers overall, as well as to the top three male and female runners in each age division. We will have several gift certificates that will be randomly drawn throughout the presentation of the awards, as well as one guaranteed entry to the St. George Marathon!You must be present to win any of the drawings, and the St. George Marathon entry is non-transferrable. Please stick around and pick-up your awards; we promise you?ll still make it to the parade!
Registration fees are as follows:
$15 from May 1 - 31, $20 from June 1 - July 2
$25 for late registration.
Registration will close at 11:59 pm July 2.
