Note From Meet Director: Welcome to the 2nd Annual "East Classic - Best of the Best" JH/MS meet. Entries will remain open until 8:30 am, Tuesday, May 12. Coaches will be responsible to make ALL changes prior to that time (including field events). There will NOT be a scratch/add meeting.
Please carefully read the schedule/meet letter attached. There are specific things you will need to know about the meet, such as implement weights, hurdle heights/distances, HJ/PV starting heights.
All Field Events & the 2400m Cross-Country run will start at 10:00. (See attached map for route). The 1600m run will be directly after the 2400m. All other running events will start immediately at the end of the 1600m.
PLEASE NOTE that we will throw the 4K Shot Put and 1K Discus in ALL divisions. There will be Shot Puts available for use if needed.
Entry fee of $5/athlete, up to $100 (20 athletes). Anything over 20 athletes/school is still $100. Total number of athletes a school may bring is unlimited. Only two entries per event and one relay team per race.
There will be four divisions; 7th Girls & Boys - 8th Girls and Boys. Younger athletes (5th/6th grade) are welcome, but will compete in the 7th grade division. These athletes will also count toward the team's two entries/event.
Metals will be awarded for 1st, 2nd & 3rd Place in each event. Anyone setting a meet record will also receive a certificate.
