11th Annual Salt Lake City 5K Run/Walk for Recovery - Kick off event for Recovery Day Celebration held at Gallivan Center immediately following the finish of 5K. The events are held to celebrate the individuals in recovery from drug and alcohol addiction, their families, friends, treatment providers and community supporters. We run/walk to raise awareness that recovery from addiction is possible and people do get better!

The 5K Run Walk for Recovery is open to the public for all ages. There is on-line registration and fee per person. Pre-registration and Group discounts are available. The 5K course is a timed race for those interested with awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in identified age categories. All awards will be presented from the Gallivan Plaza Stage at 10:30 a.m.

There will be day-of, on-site registration from 7:00 to 8:00 AM on Gallivan Avenue. The 5K race start time is 8:30am, starting and finishing on Gallivan Avenue. The race course will have motorcade police escort through streets of downtown Salt Lake City to Memory Grove and return back to Gallivan Avenue. Water stations will be provided at the race start, halfway point and finish line with support of volunteers along the route.
