A cornucopia of healthy refreshments awaits at the finish line!
Although the awards start at 2:30 pm, if you are not finished with the 5K by the time they start you are still going to be timed and eligible for awards, but this will allow the faster runners and those doing the mile to leave sooner if they are cold. It should be around 45 degrees during the race, but we don't want anyone chilled by waiting too long afterwards.
Out and back course along the Provo River Trail. Both races start at the same time and head south west. The half mile turn around for the mile is across from the playground at Exchange Park, and the 1.55 mile turn around for the 5K is Independence Avenue. https://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/view/2777073742.

Safety notes: There are 3 underpasses along the 5k and 2 for the mile, which are steep, narrow, wet, dark, or have a blind turn. Be sure to slow down enough incase any other trail-users may be coming from the other direction to avoid a collision. Also, always run on the right side of the trail, and pass on the left when safe. Notify other trail-users when you are passing so you don't startle them. Some trail-users aren't familiar with the rules of the trail, and may be on the wrong side of the trail. If you want to politely ask them to move to the right side that is up to you. The trail is not closed for the race so please be courteous to all users and look behind you to be sure it is safe before turning around and crossing to the other side of the trail at the turn-around markers.
