RunnerCard Track and Field is a meet management solution that are part of RunnerCard Web registration services. You no longer need to purchase additional meet management software to create your heats and flights and produce results.

After installing the program, right-click on the Shortcut to the program. Select properties. You can then select a 'tab' called Compatibility. Check the box that says, 'Run this program in compatibility mode for:' and then select 'Windows XP (Service Pack 3)'.

Alternatively, instead of selecting the compatibility mode, you can check the box at the bottom of that tab that says, 'Run this program as an administrator'

The system installs on your computer and allows you to download meet data from your RunnerCard Meet Director account. This is an early version of our system. While it is already very powerful, there are additional features that we are in development. We will be continually creating upgrades to the system. Each upgrade will still access meet data created with previous versions of the system. Each time that you launch the system, it will contact the RunnerCard server to determine if an update is available. If an update is available, you will be given the option to download the newer version.

The system has been designed to be very easy to use, thus there is no users manual. Just launch the system, download your meet, seed your events and print heat sheets. Enter marks or times, then score each event and print results!

To make the meet easy to run, enter the correct settings for each event in your meet director account in the Optional RunnerCard Meet Manager Data section. The system needs to know if each race or field event is: final only, or heats/final, how many athletes per heat, how to split up heats, how to assign athletes within the heats, standard lanes, and such.

The system has the ability to communicate with a FinishLynx timing system. An intermediate directory receives start lists from RunnerCard Track that are made available to FinishLynx. Lynx will send result files (lif) that RunnerCard Track will read. The times will appear in the Enter Results window for each event. Once the times are there, click on Save and you are ready to score and print results. On the networked computer that is running FinishLynx, go to Start/Run. Enter "\\[computer name]" of the computer running RunnerCard Track. Right-click on "LynxData" and select Map Network Drive. Set up FinishLynx with that mapped drive.

We have used the system to time a meet and we have done significant testing. We wanted to get this system to you so that it would be available for your meets this track season. If something does not seem to work quite right, let us know and we will work and getting that fixed in the next update. Download a meet from your account and test out the system. You don't need to wait until all of your registration is finished. When you are ready for the real meet, download the data again and get started! Each time that data is downloaded, it is saved under the meet name, and then the meet name and the date.
