Welcome to the CHATO relays on February 16th and 17th 2018. The girls will have a Varsity and Open division, in which seniors can run in the open division. The boys will have an Open and Varsity division. The varsity divisions will be required to wear school issued matching uniforms.
Field Events
1) A team must have three athletes and they get three throws or jumps and the best mark will be added.
2) In the high jump and pole vault all three athletes must clear a height. In the shot and discus, each athlete will get three throws. All three athletes must record a legal throw to receive a team score.
3) In the long and triple jump, each athlete will get three jumps. All three athletes must record a legal jump in order to receive a team score.
4) Shot and discus will be weighed in at the open garage.
5) No tape on track or runways.
Running Events
All races will be timed finals
1) An individual may be entered in three running events.
2) An individual can be entered up to four field events.
3) All runners must have a two stride lead before cutting into the inside lane in races with a break.
4) Teams must be in school issued uniforms and varsity uniforms have to match.
5) Please have your team clean up and no food or drinks except water on the field.
6) After the race, remain in their lane and walk back to the finish line.
Special Notice
1) Scratch meeting will be done in the home locker room.
2) Restrooms for athletes are up in the stadium.
3) Scoring: 20-16-12-8-4-2
4) If no height or scratches team no longer competes.
5) Break Point:
a) Distance Medley: The 1200 meter runner will break at the break line across the track.
b) 800M Relay: Stay in lanes
c) 400M Relay: Stay in lanes
d) 3200M Relay: 800 meter runner will break at the break line across the track.
e) 1600M Relay: Second leg breaks at break line across the track
f) Sprint Medley Relay: 400 leg breaks in
