Note From Meet Director: Welcome to the Americas Boys & Girls Track Invitational to be held March 29th 2018. The meet will include the following divisions: Freshman, Open and Varsity for Boys and Girls respectively.
*The entry deadline is Wednesday, March 28 at 8am. There will be only scratches at the meet, no ads. Scratch meeting begins @ 12:30pm in the Home locker room. Girls running & Boys field events begin promptly at 1:00pm.
*MEET INFO: Running events-9th, Open, Varsity. Field Events-follow rolling schedule below. Only three entries per event per division and one per team per division. All races will combine if possible including crossing divisions if possible. Ie. Open and 9th mixed with 3200m, or 2 Open relays with 3-9th relays so we don?t wait to run a heat of 2 and a heat of 3 runners.
* FORMAT: The format is as follows: Girls will start their running & throwing events while Boys start their field events. After Girls completing their running events then they will begin their remaining field events & the Boys will begin their running events. All events will follow a ROLLING SCHEDULE except for the flip, Girls will not start field event (except throws) until all running is done. The timeline is a guide, if you are behind please try to speed up the work assignment.
* FIELD EVENTS: Field events will observe minimum marking standards. After the first fair mark is recorded, then all marks must meet minimum standard according to division. Varsity field events will have three preliminary attempts and the top eight will proceed to finals for three additional attempts. Open and freshman will only have three attempts while adhering to marking standards. Please use chalk or marks, Do not use tape please.

*PLEASE DO NOT PROVIDE COURTESY MARKS! If you are scheduled to work a field event, please Bring your TAPE MEASURE AND MARKING STICK. * CHECK IN: Please have your athletes check in one whole event before their event. Start-Clerk and Check-In clerk will be given instructions to scratch 5 min after final call.
*HOSPITALITY: A hospitality room will be available for all coaches and volunteers in the west locker room. It is not for the athletes, please provide food and drinks for your team. Please help us keep all athletes out. For security purposes coaches need to have school identifiers to enter locker room area. This will be a one day meet and with 14 teams every effort to save time must be made.
Points of Emphasis:
? Girls 3200 and Boys field Events begin at 1:00pm
? Wheel Chair division will begin after Varsity Boy/Girl 100m/400m and Shot Put respectively.
? Please keep kids out of the roped off areas so officials can see the end of the race.
? Please have kids check in with before 5 min after final cal
