Welcome to Registration and Information for the 2023 Stansbury Days Triathlon and 5k Run!!! Yes, we're adding a separate 5k Run this year!

--------------------------------------------------------------------Race Information---------------------------------

This is a chip-timed race for excellent accuracy! The timing chip for both the triathlon and the 5k run races is worn around either ankle.

Triathlon Swim:
The swim is a great open-water swim in Stansbury Lake. We will have two wave starts. Wave 1 will start at 7:00am for the men. Wave 2 will start at approximately 7:10am for the women. Wetsuits are allowed, but not required. Other swim-aid devices such as life jackets, snorkels, paddles, or fins are not allowed.

Triathlon Bike:
The bike course is a fast out-and-back. Cyclists will quickly leave Stansbury Park and head out onto the country roads of Erda. The way out to Erda has a slight elevation gain of about 60 meters, and that means a slight decent back into Stansbury Park. The bike turn-around is a large horseshoe loop, which means no need for slowing down for a tight turn-around.

Triathlon Run and 5k Run:
The run course is the same for the triathlon and the 5k run. The 5k run will start at 7:30am, while most of the triathlon racers are out on the bike course. There will be an aid station with water and Gatorade at the run turn-around at Stansbury Elementary. For safety reasons, strollers and dogs are not allowed on the run course.

Arrows should be painted on the bike and run courses 7-10 days prior to the race if you would like to practice the routes. Check out each of the course maps below!

Sprint Triathlon:

5K Run:
Through July 15
$25 - Tooele County residents
$30 - Tooele County non-residents
After July 15
$35 - Tooele County residents
$40 - Tooele County non-residents

The triathlon is capped at 125 participants. The 5k run is capped at 175 participants. Race registrations will close when caps are reached, or on August 16th at midnight, whichever comes first. There will be no day-of registration.

----------------------------------------------------------Packet Pick-up and Body Marking---------------------------------------------------------

Friday evening, Aug 18th:

Race packet pick-up and triathlon body marking will occur from 6:00-8:00pm at the grassy area between the Stansbury Improvement District building and the Stansbury Skate Park. This is across the Mill Pond Bridge from the race transition/finish area.

Saturday morning, Aug 19th:

Race packet pick-up/race check-in will occur right beside the race transition/finish area from 6:00-7:00am (6:00-6:30am for the triathlon, 6:30-7:00am for the 5k run). Due to the limited time on race morning, we strongly encourage that packets be picked up on Friday evening. Please note that timing chips for all participants are only distributed on race morning.

-----------------------------------------------------------------Race Swag and Awards---------------------------------------------------------------

All racers will receive a race bag, t-shirt, finisher medal, post-race food, and will be eligible for great prizes that will be randomly drawn at the awards ceremony (must be present to win). Rumor has it that one race sponsor is donating an e-bike this year! What?!

Race shirts are a light-weight athletic shirt. They run true to size, and there is a woman's size option, which is more fitted. Participants who register by July 31st will receive a t-shirt in the size selected. Those who register after July 31st are not guaranteed a t-shirt or a specific t-shirt size.

The awards ceremony (with post-race food) will be held at the golf course pavilion across the street from the start/finish line. It will begin at around 9:00am when participants have finished the races. Awards will be given for the top 3 overall men and women finishers of each race, as well as top age group finishers for the triathlon.
