Note From Meet Director: Clint Independent School District Little 12 East Division Championship Meet
Dear Coaches,
Below you will find information you will need for the Little 12 East Division Track and Field Meet on March 3, 2018 at Clint High School. Please have all entries posted on Runnercard by Thursday, March 1 at 10:00 a.m. The meet will be seeded by the best times, distances or heights. If you want your athletes to be seeded correctly, you must post a mark when you enter your athlete. All Coaches need to report to the scratch meeting by 7:30 a.m. to pick up your packets. The scratch table will be located in the Gymnasium. All scratches will take place at this time, please have all changes made by 8:00 a.m. We will have some schools help us out with field events. As of right now we have San Elizario helping us out with High Jump and Discus. Fabens will be running Shot Put and EMMS will help out with Triple Jump. Please be sure your worker knows how to run the event. We will let you know what event you will be working at the scratch meeting. Please note the attached schedule of events. This will be a traditional meet. The 2400 will begin promptly at 8:15 a.m. Field events will begin at 9:00 a.m. All high jumpers must stay at the high jump until the event is complete unless they are in a running event. (If they are in another field event, they must check in and return to the high jump until they have completed their jumps. They must then return to their other field event). Running events take precedence over all field events. Each athlete will be allowed 10 minutes to return to their field event after their running event is over. Tell your athletes they need to listen for their events. They will be scratched from a running event if they do not report to the Clerk of the Course by the third and final call. We want to run an efficient meet and will not be able to wait on athletes. Please remind your athletes to stay in the stands unless they are warming up for an event. They should not be by the finish line or next to the track when competition is taking place. All athletes need to stay behind the flags or in the center portion of the field when warming up. No shot or discus equipment will be allowed on the football field. Please remind your athletes they must be in a school issued uniform. We will have a concession stand open for all athletes and spectators. The restrooms are located next to the concession stand. Please ask your athletes to stay in the track area. We would like each school to clean their area in the bleachers before you leave. Canopies may be set up in the bleachers. Please do not put canopies at the bottom of the bleaches or on the field. Please ask your athletes to use the trash cans so we can keep the field clean. We appreciate you help in this matter.
