Note From Meet Director: Welcome to the 2019 YISD Eastwood Middle/Eastwood Knolls Track Invitational, hosted by Eastwood High School. All athletes have to be entered here on runner card no later than 5pm on Wednesday March 6th when entries will be closed. Since this is the first meet please do not enter any seed marks.Please DO NOT enter bogus entries just to save a spot ?just in case? I promise you, that if you need to add an athlete and we have an empty lane, we will put them in. Of course it is much better to do any adds before the meet starts, so please try to handle any adds as soon as possible. If you do not enter bogus entries the meet will run much faster and smoother. Thank you!!!
We will be using a FAT timing system and we will be using lanes to identify the athletes. Because of this please stress to your athletes that it is important for them to stay in their lanes during the race (not distance races)and to run in the proper heat. Since our athletes will be running all the field events for you, you will have all the time you need to coach and help us make sure your kids run in the proper lanes and heats. Please talk to our athletes who are working the events with respect and if you have any problems please address them to us and not the athletes. Thank you!
Long Jump and Triple Jump are open pits, meaning that athletes will have one hour to take all 3 jumps. They can take all 3 jumps right away or spread them out, but after 1 hour the event will close, so please get your athletes to the event during that hour or they may lose the opportunity to take all of their attempts.
The 2400m race will have unlimited entries. This opportunity is provided for teams that have a lot of distance runners and our goal is that all athletes have an opportunity to compete. Instant results after each race can be found by going to ehstrack.bravehost.com on their phone, then click on Track Meet instant results link at the top middle of the page. Please advise athletes, coaches, and parents of this so they do not go to the finish tent asking for results, which distracts our timing team from their work.
Shot Put and Discus will take place at East Point Elementary school. Shuttle bus will run back and forth from Eastwood field house to East Point starting at 3pm.
