Welcome to the Roadrunner Junior Invitational!
Middle School and Junior High School youth are welcome to register and compete (6th-8th grade). Younger runners are also welcome if affiliated with a club team. This event is directly following the Timpview Invitational that is scheduled from 3:30-6 PM at Kiwanis Park.
The first race is the boys 1.5 mi (6th-8th grade) that begins at 6:30 PM.
The second race is the girls 1.5 mi (6th-8th grade) that begins at 7:00 PM.
Kiwanis Race Course 1.5mi
The race starts at the top of the park above the large pavilion on the green dot. The finish is at the checkered dot with a slight uphill slope at the end. The course is 1.5 loops around the perimeter of the park.
There is no registration fee for this race but athletes are required to register by the day before the race at noon. Individual athletes in the 6th-8th grade are welcome to register and compete as are younger athletes affiliated with a team. Awards are presented to the top 10 finishers for each race.
Race numbers will be available near the finish chute for pick up with the team packet starting at 5:30 PM. Packets include pins, the race numbers, and team roster list.
We're making a few adjustments this year to follow government mandates and reduce the chances of virus spread.
No spectators. We will have a Facebook live stream on the Roadrunner Junior Club page and post a recording of the races on the Runnercard race page so that exciting finish line moments can be safely celebrated. Provo City mandates a mask if you cannot maintain 6 ft social distancing. Runners are exempt from this requirement.
Health check with a forehead IR temperature before the race.

Stream-lined finish chute with awards given to athletes at the finish (no awards ceremony)
If anyone cannot participate with the group (family member risks, co-morbidities), they can run separately on the course with a parent or coach providing the result. We will insert their times into the results. However, they won't be eligible for one of the finish chute awards.
