The annual Burchell/Armstrong Memorial City-County Track meet will be held at Roy High School on Wednesday and Thursday March 24-25, 2021. This will be a State Qualifying meet.

Registration:
-Entries will be entered on RunnerCard. (For those of you with pole vaulters, Fremont will host the pole vault on Monday, March 22, 2021 at 3pm. It will be a non-scoring event, but will give kids the opportunity to vault in a qualifying meet. It will count toward an athlete's 4 events.)
-The deadline for entries on Runnercard is Monday, March 22, 2021, at noon.
-4 athletes per event. Athletes are limited to 4 events.
The meet will begin promptly at 3pm each day. Please have your event judges at their assigned events 30 minutes prior to the start of the event so that check-ins and warm-ups may begin.
Team Scoring:
1st place - 10 points
2nd place - 8 points
3rd place - 6 points
4th place - 4 points
5th place - 3 points
6th place - 2 points
7th place - 1 point
The top 7 individuals in preliminary running events will advance to finals and the top 8 in each field event will advance. If there is a tie for the 7th spot in a lane event, a run-off will take place at 5:50 on Wednesday at the conclusion of the meet.
Field Events:
-Weigh-ins will take place on both days from 2:00-2:30pm near the building at the NE corner of the track (by the visitor's concession stand/restrooms).
-Each participant in the long jump, shot put, javelin, and discus will get three (3) attempts. The top eight (8) individuals will advance to finals for three (3) more attempts.
-The cross bar for the high jump will be raised as follows:
-Girls - 4-04, 4-06, 4-08, 5-0, and one inch thereafter
-Boys - 5-04, 5-06, 5-08, 5-10, 6-00, and one inch thereafter
Awards:
-Places 1-3 in each event will receive a medal. The 1st place team in each relay will receive a medal. There is a boys' and girls' team traveling trophy, and plaques for the top male and female performers.
-Following the 4x400 on day 2, there will be a coaches meeting to vote on the athlete of the meet.
Other Items:
-Concessions will be sold in the main concession stand under the press box.
-The discus and javelin will be thrown on the practice field to the north of the stadium.
-Thursday - Girls' and boys' Medley relay will be an exhibition event. It will give the smaller/lower classification schools an opportunity to qualify for state and the larger schools an opportunity to give athletes, who weren't in the top 4 of their event, a way to participate. It will also allow athletes in the 200 final a little rest before the 4x400 relays. Like the pole vault, participation in the medley relay counts as one of the athlete's events in the 4 event limit and will not be scored.
