*** Athletes competing in multiple field events must check in to avoid being scratch. If athletes are
participating in the high jump, he/she has 10 minutes upon completion to report to the next event.

Montwood MS Track Meet information
• Coaches, please have your entries submitted on runnercard by Thursday 5 p.m.
• Bus Drop-off is on the side parking lot by the courts; Buses can park will be in the parking lot in
front Montwood Middle.
• Scratch meeting will be inside in the gym from 7:15 – 7:45 where hospitality will be provided for
ONLY coaches and MMS volunteers.
• Concessions will also be available on the left-hand side of the gym.
• Restrooms for athletes and spectators will be available down the band hallway across the shot
put/discus area. Please advise your athletes to remove spikes upon entering the building.
• Coaches may use the restrooms the locker rooms. Use gym doors on the right side of the gym.
• PROACTION will be available for medical assistance on the infield by timers.
• Team Campsites will be located inside the basketball courts on the right-hand side of the
school. If weather is not agreeing with us will be moved into the gym. Please remind your
athletes to clean up after themselves.
• The football field is reserved for warm-up/cool down, competing athletes and coaches.
• Run assigned events in an effective manner to expedite meet. Reminder: High Jump takes
precedence. Athletes in multiple field events must check in so they are not scratched.
• Event Information:
• High Jump-starting heights 8th boys 4’0, 8th girls 3’8, 7th boys 3’8, 7th girls 3’6. (3
attempts per athlete at each height)
• Athletes will be allowed 3 attempts per field event
• Barriers will be placed at all events to ensure audience will not interfere with
safety of athletes during competition
• Distance races will be combined if the number of runners is minimal in each
division.
• Each school is allowed 3 athletes per event. Athletes can participate in a max of
3 running events & total of 5 events combined with field events.
