Dear coaches,
We are excited to host the Darrell Gardner Invitational. This meet will have limited Schools. To get the pass code for the event contact coach Courtnee Justice at justicec@emeryschools.org
The track events for this meet will be timed finals, so it is important the coaches enter qualifying times for their athletes for seeding purposes.
Registration will close at 5:00 p.m. on Monday April 22, 2024. A coaches meeting will be held at 1:30 p.m. on April 24, 2024 at which time coaches should have all athlete scratches and additions ready for submission. Field and Running events will start at 2:00 pm that day. Only 4 entries from each school will be scored.
Registration fees will be $75 for a girls team and $75 for a boys team. This is a state qualifying meet. Seeding for track events will be by submitted time and all track events will be run as timed finals. Implement weigh-ins will begin at 1:30 p.m. However, our discus ring is not finished, we will not have a discus event.
Each athlete may participate in a maximum of 4 events. Each school will be limited to one relay team per event.
This meet is held on our new track. Athletes must use pyramid spikes not to exceed 1/4 inch in length. No tree or needle spikes are allowed. Any athlete who shows up to the starting line with unauthorized spikes will be disqualified.
Medals will be awarded to the top three places for individual events and the top two places For relays. A concession stand will be available for snack items.
