Track Meet
Youth and BYU community members (students, faculty, staff) are welcome to participate. It is a 2 hour meet with a rolling schedule to accommodate all of the heats. The schedule will be updated when registration closes on April 15 at 12 PM noon if there is a need to add additional heats. Athletes of all ability levels are welcome. Elementary school runners are encouraged to register for the Roadrunner AAU Track Meet / Run-Jump-Throw Tryouts on April 13. The BYU REP Track Meet is for the BYU community and more experienced youth runners.
Minors must be accompanied by a parent / guardian.
BYU students will mentor youth runners who are recently entering the sport of track and field. The youth events will be held following the BYU running club track events. BYU mentors will be assigned to groups of youth runners to coach them on track and field events. Youth are required to have a parent / guardian present and to sign the Minor Waiver form provided by Risk Management. Youth will attend at 5 PM to watch the BYU students compete and prepare for similar events tailored to youth abilities.
BYU Biomechanics Study
We encourage everyone to participate in the BYU AI Biomechanics Study with AlphaPeak. The study investigates running form AI analysis correlation to injury history. Participants take a 30 second slow motion video of running on a treadmill and fill out a survey about running injury history.
