Report Time: All runners should report to the area behind the starting line at least 10 minutes before
their race.
Course Map: Please see the attached course map. Printed maps will not be provided at the meet, so
you’ll need to print them beforehand if desired.
Team Arrival
Campsite Guidelines:
● Set up team camps above the starting line, avoiding the townhome patio/green space. Security
will be present to enforce this.
● Please keep all camps away from the greens.
Buses:
● If your buses are staying for the duration of the meet, they should park at Horizon High School
(14651 Horizon Blvd, 79928). See the map for parking directions.
Awards
● Individual and team awards will be presented at the clubhouse - after the end of each district race.
Once your district has completed the boy 5K, clean up your camp area, gather your things and proceed
to the clubhouse for the award presentation
Scoring & Timing
● Timing chips are integrated into the race bibs. These are included in your race packet.
● Race bibs must be clearly displayed, pinned at all four corners on the front of the jersey (chest
area).
● Important: Runners must complete the race while wearing their bib number.
● Varsity divisions allow 7 runners per school.
● Changes: If you need to make any adjustments to your entries please report to the finish line at the beginning of the meet.
Race Structure
● Teams will start from assigned boxes. Each box is 5 feet wide, enough for your top three runners
to be on the line with the rest of your team behind them.
● Runners without teams (those with fewer than five runners) will have a designated space on the
left side of the start line.
● The start line at this venue has more room compared to the old Chamizal course, so space
should be sufficient.
Finish Line Protocol
● A finish chute will be in place. Runners will cross the line and move into the recovery area.
