Note From Meet Director: Welcome to the Mountain View/Fabens Cross Country Invitational. Mtn View HS and Fabens
HS would like to welcome your runners, coaches, and family to Mtn View HS and the Red
Sands area. The meet will be held at Mountain View High School and head into the dunes at
Red Sands. It will take place on SATURDAY, AUGUST 31, 2024, starting promptly at 8:00 AM.
Coaches Meeting and Bib Pickup at 7:15 AM at finish line.
Order of competitions:
• Varsity Girls 2 miles
• Varsity Boys 5 km
• JV Girls 2 miles
• JV Boys 5 km
• 9th Girls 2 miles
• 9th Boys 5 km
(9th races may be combined with JV if participation is low)
Distance: 2 miles girls/ 5 km boys
Course: Race consists of grass football field, track, gravel, dirt roads, packed sand, and
soft sand dunes. If wearing spikes there is about 200 meters of concrete.
Awards: Medals will be awarded to the top 10 finishers
